Birthday: Reading a Poem
On the morning of my birthday, I read my favourite poem by Su Shi, "Water Song - How Will the Full Moon Appear? ". Actually, I wasn't in a normal state for reading poems. I was in Kermis Park, sitting on an exciting place - Giant Pendulum Rides. It looked like a huge round cake. When it started to swing, it was so thrilling at that height. This feeling reminded me of Su Shi's words, "Too high and cold for me." I had underestimated its strength. Sitting on it, I had completely lost all other thoughts and feelings. The Giant Pendulum was like a separator, separating all the complex emotions that ancient poetry was supposed to bring, and just leave fears. There were still very few visitors in the early morning. The whole playground echoed with my shout,
"Riding the wind, there I would fly,
Yet I’m afraid the crystalline palace would be
Too high and cold for me."
