月亮

<唯一>

Moon

“One”

As a huge stone, the moon hangs over our heads forever. It is always there and accompanies the fate of a nation, and memory of a private person. In my exhibition, two moon meteorites are used. One was put into a medieval European Reliquie (similar to the Buddhist relic Sarira box) and combined it with ten different postcards about the moon. I remembered Zhang Jiuling’s poet " As the bright moon shines over the sea, From far away you share this moment with me. " It also remembered me how Borges described the moon.
I know that the moon or the word moon
Is a letter that was created to share
In the complex scripture of that rare
Thing that we are, both manifold and one.
-The Moon, by J.L.Borges

Moonlight Box

The other moon meteorite was placed in medieval Reliquie, combined, together with three vinyl discs. (The contents of the vinyl disc are two piano sonata about moonlight, by Debussy and Bethoven). A gold foil was taged on these three vinyl plates. When they are placed into the box where moon meteorite is, it represents the source of these two songs.
